On first launch, choose between installing the local runtime and connecting to a remote host, then configure the model and credentials for that host.

How it compares

The facts name no paid products that this project replaces; the similar tools they do name are the upstream DeepSeek Harness, its official web version and Termux, the latter being what the built-in runtime is designed to make unnecessary. dsh-Go therefore stands alongside the harness as a mobile front end rather than a substitute engine, and it is explicitly unaffiliated with DeepSeek.

When to use it — and when not

Anyone who needs an iPhone or HarmonyOS build should wait, since the current release is Android-only, is aimed at APK sideloading rather than Google Play distribution, and adaptation to those platforms is promised rather than shipped.
