What is debrify?

Debrify is an open-source, cross-platform media hub — written in Dart with Flutter and licensed AGPL-3.0 — that gathers cloud storage accounts, personal WebDAV servers, IPTV playlists, Stremio addon catalogs, and YouTube into a single library with a built-in cinematic player, for people who already hold their own sources and accounts and want one interface for all of them.

What it is

Debrify is a Flutter/Dart application that runs on Android, Android TV, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux, published at debrify.tv. It connects the services a user already uses — cloud storage and streaming-cache accounts, personal WebDAV servers, IPTV playlists, Stremio addon catalogs, and YouTube — and gives them one library, one player, and one interface everywhere. The interface is built to work as well on a phone, a desktop, or a television driven by a remote. Alongside the player, it ships a download manager, tracking against Trakt, Simkl, and MDBList, and catalog browsing with poster grids and detail pages.

The concrete problem it solves is fragmentation: each of those sources normally lives in its own app or browser tab, with no shared library, no shared playback position, and no shared tracking. Debrify replaces that scatter of separate clients with a single media hub that reaches every configured source through the same player and the same catalogs, and it resumes playback across sources and devices. It does not host, sell, provide, or bundle media content; search sources, addons, indexers, WebDAV servers, IPTV playlists, and cloud accounts are all user-configured integrations, and the project asks that it be used only with content a user owns, created, licensed, or is otherwise authorized to access.

Key capabilities

  • Built-in player built on media_kit/libmpv with on-the-fly audio and subtitle track switching, subtitle search, autoload, styling, a real-time sync slider, episode guides, next-episode navigation, sleep timer, playback speed, and cross-source resume.
  • Cloud account support with full parity across Real-Debrid, Torbox, Premiumize, PikPak, and AllDebrid, including streaming or downloading any file, browsing the cloud library, and an account dashboard showing status, expiration, and usage.
  • WebDAV browsing and streaming with credentials handled by the app, plus playlists and local downloads.
  • IPTV support for M3U and Xtream playlists with an EPG guide, catchup, DVR recording, favorites, and categories, scaling to tens of thousands of channels.
  • Download manager with a background queue, pause and resume, batch operations, and scoped-folder support on Android, saving from cloud accounts, WebDAV, and YouTube.
  • Tracking through Trakt in-player scrobbling, a live Now Playing card, continue-watching rails, and an upcoming-episodes calendar, with Simkl and MDBList syncing progress and lists, and local-only tracking that works fully offline.
  • Catalog discovery through Stremio addons, Watch Next recommendations, long-press Quick Play from any poster, and optional search plugins including self-hosted Jackett and Prowlarr indexers.

Who uses it and how

  • Households that want the same library and the same resume position on a phone, a desktop, and an Android TV device driven by a remote.
  • Viewers who pay for several debrid or cloud storage accounts at once and need one dashboard, one library, and one playlist layer over all of them instead of switching apps.
  • Self-hosters running a personal WebDAV server who want to browse it, stream from it, build playlists, and download files locally through one client.
  • IPTV subscribers managing large M3U or Xtream playlists with tens of thousands of channels who need an EPG guide, catchup, and DVR recording in the same app.
  • Stremio addon users who want to search addon catalogs and then play results through their connected accounts, or hand a stream off to an external player such as DeoVR for VR playback.

Getting started

Install from the Download link on the project website at debrify.tv. The facts provided name no package manager entry, Docker image, or compose file, so the website download is the stated distribution route.

How it compares

Debrify is positioned as a hub rather than a replacement for the tools it touches: it installs Stremio addon catalogs instead of substituting for Stremio, and it syncs to Trakt, Simkl, and MDBList rather than replacing those trackers. It also integrates with self-hosted Jackett and Prowlarr indexers as optional search plugins, and can hand any stream to an external player such as DeoVR, so it sits as the front end and player over services whose accounts the user already holds.

When to use it — and when not to

Debrify is worth adopting when the user already has accounts, a WebDAV server, playlists, or addon catalogs, because the app supplies the library, player, and interface but no content and no source configuration. It is a poor fit for anyone expecting a bundled catalog or a hosted service, and self-hosters should note that the WebDAV endpoint, cloud accounts, and IPTV credentials remain theirs to run and maintain. The project is licensed AGPL-3.0, which carries copyleft obligations for anyone redistributing a modified build, the repository currently carries 43 open issues, and the last push recorded is 2026-09-17.

What is Debrify?

Debrify is an open-source, cross-platform media hub. It brings the services you already use — cloud storage accounts, personal WebDAV servers, IPTV playlists, Stremio addon catalogs, YouTube — into one place, with a built-in player tuned for movies and TV, a download manager, Trakt/Simkl/MDBList tracking, and a cinematic UI that works just as well on a phone, a desktop, or a TV with a remote.

You connect your own accounts and sources. Debrify gives them one library, one player, and one interface everywhere.

Responsible Use

Debrify does not host, sell, provide, or bundle media content. Search sources, addons, indexers, WebDAV servers, IPTV playlists, and cloud accounts are user-configured integrations. Only use Debrify with content, services, and sources that you own, created, licensed, or are otherwise authorized to access.

Third-party plugins, addons, indexers, playlists, and services are controlled by their respective providers or users. Debrify does not endorse using any integration to infringe copyright or violate a provider's terms. Do not submit or distribute configurations intended to facilitate unauthorized access to copyrighted content.

Before You Read the Code

A warning: this is not a clean codebase.

Debrify grew rapidly around features rather than a planned architecture. It contains enormous files, god classes, static state, duplicated provider logic, tightly coupled UI and business logic, inconsistent abstractions, legacy implementations, and more special cases than anyone should be proud of.

Some newer subsystems are better structured and heavily tested, but the repository as a whole does not represent Flutter best practices. It represents a product that kept growing while architectural cleanup repeatedly lost to the next feature or platform problem.

The application works and solves difficult problems, but maintaining it can be painful. Refactoring, simplification, and removal of legacy code are welcome.
