When to use it — and when not to

Use Bagisto when you need full control over code, want to avoid licensing fees, and require support for complex models like multi-vendor or multi-tenant setups. Avoid it if you lack Laravel/Vue.js expertise, as self-hosting requires managing PHP runtime, MySQL/MariaDB, Redis, and optionally SMTP for email. It does not include native payment gateways or shipping integrations—these must be added via extensions. Compared to hosted platforms like Shopify, Bagisto trades convenience for flexibility but demands more operational overhead.
